BIOGRAPHY

Early Life

Marietta L. Hamilton, of Caribbean descent, was raised in Houston, TX. Her love for music and ministry blossomed early—singing solos in church at age 9 and directing the youth choir by 13. Her talent and passion quickly caught the attention of local Seventh-day Adventist leaders, leading her to travel with the Capital Cities Youth Federation, where she led choirs and performed solos. These formative experiences shaped her lifelong dedication to faith, ministry, and service.

Ministry & Leadership Experience

For over three decades, Marietta has faithfully served in various music ministry roles, including Minister of Music, Worship Coordinator, and Choir Director, across numerous Seventh-day Adventist churches and organizations, such as:

• Baytown United, Belfort, Unity, and Fondren Seventh-day Adventist Churches (Houston, TX)
• Kingsboro Seventh-day Adventist Church (Brooklyn, NY)
• Trinity Worship Center (Charlotte, NC)
• Co-founder of Divine Connection Community Choir (Houston, TX)

Beyond her contributions to music ministry, Marietta has held significant leadership roles in youth, women’s, and single ministries. She has served as Vice President of the Capital Cities Youth Federation and President of the Houston Bay Area Women’s Ministries Chapter. Marietta is also the Founder and CEO of MariettaLMinistries LLC and Embracing New Beginnings, Inc., organizations dedicated to wholistic health, ministry, and community service.

Her passion for service and spiritual growth has inspired the launch of several impactful initiatives, including:

• At The Altar: A Christ-centered worship experience, fostering spiritual renewal and communion.
• Marietta’s Closet: A compassionate outreach providing clothing, hygiene essentials, meals, job counseling, and spiritual support to the unhoused and less fortunate.
• Christ’s Advent Worship Collective: An online community for worship, leadership development, and spiritual growth, while supporting global missions.
• Ordinary People Video Podcast: A platform highlighting everyday individuals making extraordinary impacts through faith, resilience, and service.
• Wholistic Health and Hygiene Coaching (WHHC): Weekly video motivation and practical guidance to promote overall well-being, addressing the mind, body, and spirit.

In addition to her many years of professional experience in finance, Marietta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, is pursuing her Master of Divinity (MDiv/MRE), and is on track to become a licensed counselor by 2025.

Stance and Beliefs

Marietta is passionate about empowering youth, women, and families to grow in faith. She believes in the importance of living a sanctified life and strives for daily spiritual growth, with her ultimate goal being to spend eternal life with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God. Her ministry reflects a balanced approach to nurturing the roles of both women and men within the home and the church.

Above all, Marietta seeks to serve and uplift individuals through wholistic health, personal ministry, and essential services, fostering physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
