BIOGRAPHY

Early Life

Marietta L. Hamilton, born of Caribbean descent, was raised in Houston, TX. Her love for music and ministry began early, singing solos in church at age 9 and directing the youth choir by 13. Her talent caught the attention of local Seventh-day Adventist leaders, allowing her to travel with the Capital Cities Youth Federation, where she led choirs and performed solos. This early dedication to faith and ministry shaped her path as she committed to serving others and Christ.

Ministry & Leadership Experience

For over three decades, Marietta has served in various music ministry roles, such as Minister of Music, Worship Coordinator, and Choir Director, at several Seventh-day Adventist churches and organizations, including:

• Baytown United, Belfort, Unity, Fondren Seventh-day Adventist Churches (Houston, TX)
• Kingsboro Seventh-day Adventist Church (Brooklyn, NY)
• Trinity Worship Center (Charlotte, NC)
• Co-Founder of Divine Connection Community Choir (Houston, TX)

In addition to music ministry, Marietta has held leadership roles in youth, women, and single ministries. She has served as Vice President of the Capital Cities Youth Federation and President of the Houston Bay Area Women’s Ministries Chapter. She is the founder and CEO of MariettaLMinistries and Embracing New Beginnings, Inc.

In addition to working for many years in finance, Marietta holds a Bachelor’s in biblical studies, is pursuing her Master’s in Divinity (MDiv/MRE), and will be a licensed counselor by 2025.

Stance and Beliefs

Marietta is passionate about empowering youth, women, and families to grow in faith. She believes in the importance of leading a sanctified life and strives for daily spiritual growth, with her ultimate goal being eternal life with Christ. Her ministry reflects a balance of nurturing the roles of women and men in the home and church. Above all, Marietta seeks to serve and uplift individuals through wholistic health, ministry, and essential services, fostering physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
